If you receive a pension, unemployment benefit or are contributing, you will only receive notifications via internet. If you do not have digital access, you will have no official way to receive communications from Social Security. It comes into force immediately.

👥 Affects millions of pensioners, unemployed people, self-employed workers and employees, especially older people without internet access.

The government approves by Royal Decree-Law (without parliamentary approval) how funds are distributed among autonomous communities and municipalities while the 2025 budget extension continues.

What it means for you

Regions and municipalities continue to receive money for healthcare, education and infrastructure without new approved budgets. There is no transparency about the exact amounts that reach each territory.
